damn, the US has already stuck it to the French and now we're taking it to Germans. The rest of the world better strap up. Everyone will suffer the wrath of US sportsmanship.

Sportsmanship was certainly the last word I would associate with Stevens. However, Bischof is now celebrated in South Korea for his sportsmanship towards Kim after he lost to him in the final.
